Surfacing point is more of a personal site, it has never really been meant to be a portfolio site. Even though i do show a lot of the work i create on it. if anything on this site offends you, too bad.

Surfacingpoint first started out as a small site that i hosted on my own pc when i lived in sydney, cape breton. it wasn't designed well, and it was just a collection of work. In fact it wasn't even called surfacing point back then, it was just 103 studio's.
The name surfacing point derived from a small personal section i made. and i had one main theme with that site, to have no real theme at all. every section & page was designed differently from the rest. it was sort of an experiment.
Surfacing point was what the main page of the old personal site was called. and on that section all i had was a few links, and a space for 15 lines of text. This is the good ol' origin of the surfacing point archives. and that's why every archive is totally different.
I never though of naming the entire site surfacing point until a friend of mine referred to my site as "surfacingpoint" and mentioned the "surfacingpoint entries". so i decided to stick with the name, and only really use the 103 studio's name for flash stuff, since that was the original plan.
after i was laid off from work in sydney i had to move home, only until i was able to get an apartment in port hawksbury. during this time the site was on hiatus due to i could not host it on dial up. so re-designed it and then in september i re-launched it on the ekimx server. this lasted for a few months until the following july when i finally registered a dot-com name and here we are.
